Meet the artist
About John
John Moore is a contemporary impressionist painter based in Aura on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. He grew up in Papua New Guinea, taught himself signwriting as a teenager, and ran sign businesses in PNG, Jacksonville Arkansas, and back home on the Sunshine Coast for many years.
The pandemic returned him to the canvas. He paints from a studio a short drive from the beach, and most days start with a surf or a walk along Wurtulla.
